As we get ready to celebrate America’s birthday, check out this Star Spangled Breakfast Pizza the whole family will love. The kids can decorate their own pizzas & have fun serving up a little red, white & blue yum!
Star Spangled Breakfast Yum by Jodie Fitz
2 FlatOut® Lavash Breads or FlatOut® Pizza Crusts
1 tablespoon coconut sugar*
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ cup cream cheese, whipped
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons honey
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Stir the coconut sugar & cinnamon together. Place the lavash bread or pizza crust onto a baking sheet that that’s covered with a piece of parchment paper. Baste the top of each one with water & generously sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
Bake the breads for 5-7 minutes; until toasted. Remove from the oven and let cool.
At room temperature, stir the whipped cream cheese, vanilla extract & honey together. Frost the top of the toasted cinnamon breads with the cream cheese mixture.
Wash the berries. Hull the strawberries & cut them in half. Arrange the blueberries & strawberries in a flag like design & serve.
*Coconut Sugar can be found in the baking aisle at your local Price Chopper/Market 32 Supermarkets.
Experiment: Try replacing the cream cheese with mascarpone cheese. And, or, raspberries can replace the strawberries if preferred.
