Grasshopper Fake Shake by Jodie Fitz
2 -3 cups ice
1 cup Pics low-fat or fat free milk
1 cup baby leaf spinach, fresh
1 ½ tablespoons Price Chopper cocoa powder
1 teaspoon Price Chopper vanilla extract
4 tablespoons Pics honey (approximately ¼ cup)
1 drop of mint extract
Add the ice, milk, spinach, cocoa powder, vanilla & mint extracts and honey into a blender. Blend the ingredients until the ice is fully crushed & the ingredients are well mixed.
The kids will never know there’s spinach in this icy cold fake shake!
Note: You may have to stop half way through the blending process and scrape cocoa powder & honey from the sides with a spatula and then continue to blend the rest of the way.
Honey: You can decrease the honey if you decrease the cocoa powder, this will depend on your family’s taste buds.
Almond Milk: Give this blend a try with almond milk, it’s one of our favorite ways to make it.
