Family Fun with ‘The Grinch’ & the Grinch-ified Fake Shake

One of our favorite holiday traditions is to watch ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’ and every year we pull out the Grinch-ified Fake Shake to serve at our counters. Sam helped me grab some ‘real food’ ingredients to fill the blender with to make a delicious treat with a healthy spin on it in the midst of many crazy bites going on this time of year. Watch Sam in action as he shares all of the different flavors that go into this recipe & then grab the kids, watch a movie & serve up a little yum fun of your own.

1 1/2 cups Price Chopper low-fat or fat-free milk

1 tablespoon Price Chopper honey

1 teaspoon Price Chopper vanilla extract

2 – 4 fresh mint leaves, small

Add the baby leaf spinach, the frozen yogurt, the milk, honey, vanilla extract and mint leaves into the blender and blend thoroughly before serving.

Mint Alternative: If you don’t like the taste of fresh mint, simply omit it and replace it with one drop of mint or peppermint extract.

  1. Oh I love minty things and How the Grinch Stole Christmas! I am always leery of drinking my spinach, but the minty-ness should hide the spinach flavor nicely. Thanks for sharing!
