Homemade Pop Tart by Jodie Fitz
1 Wewalka Piecrust*
3/4 cup Berry Medley Frozen Fruit
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon tapioca, uncooked
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon water
Nonstick cooking spray
1 large heart shaped cookie cutter
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Cut the piecrust into 4 large hearts with your cookie cutter.
Place the frozen fruit in a mini food processor and chop it up into fine pieces. Keep the fruit frozen.
Scrape the chopped fruit into a bowl and stir in the brown sugar and uncooked tapioca together.
Evenly spread the fruit mixture onto two if the hearts leaving the edge bare. Place the other two hearts on top of the filled hearts. Use a fork to press around the edges to seal the hearts.
Place the hearts onto a nonstick baking sheet coated with nonstick cooking spray.
Stir the honey & water together. Baste the top of the two hearts.
Bake them for approximately 25 minutes; until golden brown on the top crust.
