What’s cooking in March?
A whole lot of tasty, fun yum! This month I’m thinking about everything green, lucky leprechauns & St. Patrick’s Day. The plan is to bring the fanciful fun of March to the counters for some test tasting bites the kids will love making & the whole family will enjoy eating. One recipe that always makes the menu at our house this month includes our Shamrock Fake Shakes.

Shamrock Fake Shake by Jodie Fitz
2 cups fresh baby leaf spinach (natural color)
2 cups fat-free frozen yogurt
1 1/2 cups low-fat or fat-free milk
1 tablespoon Price Chopper honey
1 teaspoon Price Chopper vanilla extract
2 – 4 fresh mint leaves* or a drop of mint extract
Put all of the ingredients into the blender, blend & serve.
*Fresh mint leaves can be found in the produce aisle of most grocery stores. The number of mint leaves used depends on the size; 2 medium vs. 4 small. Or, one drop of mint extract can be a substitute for the fresh mint leaves.
This recipe makes approximate four 8 oz. servings.
