Sipping on Berry Infused Frozen Lemonade for Summer

Sipping on Berry Infused Frozen Lemonade for Summer

I’m sipping on berry infused frozen lemonade. Who wants some of this refreshing goodness?

The hot days of summer have finally arrived and we are celebrating them at the Price Chopper/Market 32 Kids Cooking Club! Looking to cool things down and have fun in the kitchen without the oven? Grab the blender and make some berry infused frozen lemonade.   It’s all fresh:

Lemons
Raspberries
Blackberries
Honey
Extracts
Ice and water

Grab the measurements and ‘how-to’s’ below. It’s good stuff!

Red White and Blue Frozen Lemonade by Jodie Fitz

Red:

½ cup raspberries

1 tablespoon honey

¼ teaspoon raspberry extract

Rinse the raspberries. Place the raspberries, honey and raspberry extract into a food processor, mini food process or blender. Chop/blend until it’s almost in a syrup like state; the seeds will even blend into the mix. Set the mixture aside.

White:

4 cups ice

2 lemons, fresh

2 cups water

½ cup honey

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Cut the lemons in half. Squeeze the lemon juice from the lemons. If you have a citrus juicer simply squeeze the juice right into a blender pitcher. If you have to squeeze by hand, squeeze the juice into a glass or bowl first so that you can extract any seeds before adding the juice to the blender.

Add the lemon juice, ice, water, honey and extract to the blender and blend well.

Blue:

½ cup blackberries

1 tablespoon honey

¼ teaspoon raspberry extract

Rinse the blackberries. Place the blackberries, honey and raspberry extract into a food processor, mini food process or blender. Chop/blend until it’s almost in a syrup like state; the seeds will even blend into the mix.

Pull it all together:

Pour the frozen lemonade into your serving glasses. Note: This recipe should make four drinks. Add a tablespoon of the red raspberry syrup on top. Add a tablespoon of the blackberry syrup on top. Serve. Straws are optional ….
