My Visit to Holden, MA

Last Updated on

Monday I traveled to Holden, Massachusetts (in the Worcester area) to make snacks, chat about cooking/recipes and have a little taste testing fun with the students at Holden Christian Academy.  I had a GREAT time visiting with the students, although I do have to admit I suffered blender ENVY!  One of the student’s mom, who was also a teacher at the school, sent in her blender & ingredients due to her daughter’s allergies to be used…it was THE NINJA!!!  I have to tell you, it took about 15 minutes to figure out how to turn it on even after a quick ‘how to’ lesson was received.  It’s like the food processors where everything has to be locked into place a certain way before it will actually start.  I can’t even imagine what this contraption can actually do….not to mention the biceps you can develop from carrying this appliance; holy cannoli!  I told her if it was missing at the end of the day, it took a trip to New York for further testing (ONLY KIDDING), but I do think I’m adding it to my appliance wish list…

The kids were GREAT and I met with students from K through 8th grade…they were all excited and very participatory in the process.  I had a great time & really appreciated the coordinator asking me for a date for next year as I was leaving…always appreciated on my end (THANK YOU FOR the invite & for organizing my visit) :).  I hope to visit back soon & hope you all have a great rest of the school year!
