Apple Pie Parfait is Easy and Delicious

Apple Pie Parfaits are soooo delicious and absolutely easy to make!

This simple recipe is kid-friendly and perfect for lunchbox packing or after school snacking.  It can even be served as a dessert alternative.  However, this recipe is not just for kids, it’s adult friendly too!  I love these apple pie parfaits.

I make a batch, layering this yumminess in mason jars, line them up in the refrigerator for my family to grab and just like magic, they disappear.

This recipe is perfect all year long, but definitely a great way to use up those apples during apple picking season; one of my favorite seasons.

Here’s the recipe;

Apple Pie Parfait

  • 2 apples (your favorite)

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • Greek vanilla yogurt

Wash, peel, core & dice the apple.

Place the diced apples, water, brown sugar & cinnamon in a saucepan. Cook the apples over medium to low heat. Stir frequently and cook until the apples are softened.

Let them cool completely.

More on making these scrumptious bites;

My Favorite Apple?  I like many apples, but my ultimate favorite is the Gala Apple.

My favorite yogurt?  Again, I love many yogurts including the dairy free options, but right now I am thoroughly enjoying Cabot’s Greek Vanilla Bean combinations.

Dairy Allergy Concerns?  Swap the yogurt with your favorite dairy free yogurt alternative.  There are many fantastic options available.

Granola?  Simply use your favorite in this recipe.

Cooking Lessons for Children?  Every recipe has lessons for children. Here are a few for children when making their apple pie parfaits;

  • Following directions
  • Coring apples
