My kids, okay-okay & I, love the eggnog milkshakes that are available this time of year. However, my rule of thumb is that it’s a ‘once in a while kind of treat’. I try to teach, and live, a lifestyle that keeps in step with my grandfather’s philosophy of ‘everything in moderation’ who lived a very long & healthy life. When I searched the internet, I was not surprised to learn that the McDonald’s small sized eggnog milkshake was 420 calories (Yikes).
As a solution I have created a version of this drink and am sharing my Eggnog Fake Shake for a little taste testing fun. We plugged it into the My Fitness Pal calorie calculator, this recipe serves three of us at one time & is only 348 calories for the ENTIRE BLENDER, which means it’s only 116 per glass. This means DOUBLE YUM on this recipe because it’s full of delicious flavor & cuts the calories when we are already indulging more than usual.
So, grab the blender & the kids, and give the recipe try for an experimental sip. It’s quick, it’s easy, it’s festive & it’s delicious.

5 oz. So Delicious Vanilla coconut milk yogurt alternative

Prefer the Dairy Flavor? Use the light eggnog & a vanilla Greek yogurt.

Much healthier than the Maccas version! That is a ridiculous amount of calories for a drink.
Egg nog isn’t as big in Australia, I think because it is summer now and too hot for milk drinks. With the addition of ice, it would be a fab summer christmas drink 🙂
It would be a fab summer Christmas Drink :)! I hope you are having a wonderful summer season…its FREEZING here. I can’t imagine a warm Christmas, but think I would like to experience at least just one!
