Chicken Parmesan Burgers for an Easy Dinner
I’m so glad you’re here peeking at these Chicken Parmesan Burgers. They are absolutely delicious and so easy to make! My family loves chicken parmesan for dinner, but during the week I don’t have time to bread the chicken, cook it and then assemble it into their favorite meal; that’s a special occasion kind of meal for the busy working mom. So, when my middle guy was requesting something different for dinner once upon a time, but chicken parm related, I created this recipe.
This recipe is so easy it can be made on those busy weekday evenings, even when you don’t really feel like making dinner; we all have those days, right?
However, these Chicken Parmesan Burgers can also be made ahead of time, which I love!
I’m often asked how I make that happen. Honestly, its all in the planning. When I come home from the grocery store on the weekend, I simply prep the meat mixture to this recipe. I place the chicken parmesan burgers on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper and place them in the freezer for 45 minutes to an hour. I then wrap each burger individually in parchment paper. Then I place the wrapped burgers into a freezer bag, or other air tight container, and place them in the freezer until I need them.
One of my busy week days just got a whole lot easier at dinner time. I have to do is pop the number of burgers I need on that given day in the refrigerator to thaw. When I get home, I simply cook and serve. Double this recipe during the prep process and then you will have two dinners over the course of the next four to six weeks to pull from your freezer.

- 1-pound ground chicken
- ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated
- 1 tablespoon Italian spice
- 1-teaspoon onion powder
- ¾ teaspoon sea salt
- ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
- Fresh Mozzarella
- Marinara Sauce
Add the Parmesan cheese, Italian spice, onion powder, sea salt & garlic powder to the uncooked ground chicken. Mix the spices into the ground chicken until they are evenly distributed.
Create burger patties to your desired size. Grill the patties on a grill or inside on a grill pan. Cook the burgers until they are thoroughly cooked. (165 degrees if testing with a meat thermometer)
Top the burgers with your favorite sauce and a slice of mozzarella. Melt the mozzarella on top before serving and enjoy!
