More on the Chocolate Covered Strawberry Smoothie Ingredients;
Dairy Allergies: Swap your favorite dairy free milk alternative for the milk; rice milk, coconut milk, cashew milk, almond milk, etc. There are so many wonderful options available. I personally have found that rice milk is actually fairly tasteless when made in a smoothie and lets the flavors really burst, but it does make a recipe icier. If you are looking for creamier, if your dietary needs allow, try a coconut milk or cashew milk. But always, do what’s best for your own personal needs!
Strawberries: Always wash your fruit before using it! Believe it or not, strawberries are hight in vitamin C. Not at all what I think about when I look at these red beauties. Here’s more information on the health benefits of Strawberries (click here).
You can eliminate the ice and replace the fresh strawberries with fresh frozen strawberries if desired. Make sure you grab the ‘no sugar added’ fresh frozen strawberries.
Unsweetened Cocoa: It turns out cocoa is rich in history, rich in health benefits and rich in flavor! Cocoa powder is actually made by crushed cocoa beans with the fat removed. When I was researching what unsweetened cocoa actually is, because we know it goes great in recipes, I learned it’s high in polyphenols. Here’s more from the experts (click here).
