Easter Egg decorating family fun

Join us in the kitchen for a little Easter fun!

This month we are reminding kids everywhere that it’s easy to hard-boil eggs! Hard-boiled eggs are one of nature’s easiest fast foods. So, I’ve included our annual ‘how-to’ with a whole new decorating idea…

After the kids have finished cooling their hard-boiled eggs, I’m sharing how to use the Betty Crocker Fun Writers to create a Pastel Decorated Easter Egg, which is a fun way to celebrate the season & minimize the mess.

Hard-boil the eggs:

Place the eggs in a saucepan & cover with cold water. Bring the water to a boil over high heat. Cover & let the eggs boil in the water for 5 minutes. Turn off the heat & keep the eggs in the hot water, covered setting on the hot burner for an additional 7 minutes. Run the eggs under cold water until they cool.

Cool the eggs completely before decorating.

Decorating the eggs:

Let the kids decorate the eggs as desired with the Betty Crocker Fun writers. Let them set for 30 minutes.

Then run the under cool water for Easter Pastel designs.
