Strawberry Stuffed French Toast Recipe for a Breakfast Treat is Easy to Make

French Toast is a fabulous breakfast treat!

This recipe is a double ‘yummer’, because it’s stuffed with strawberry goodness and it’s a heart shaped pocket.

Heart Shaped Stuffed French Toast by Jodie Fitz

5 eggs

1/4 cup low-fat milk

3 tablespoons honey

1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

8- 10 slices of bread

Heart shaped cookie cutter, large

Butter or non-stick cooking spray


½ cup whipped cream cheese

½ cup sliced strawberries

1 tablespoon honey

Mix the cream cheese and honey together.

Cut the bread into heart shaped slices with the cookie cutter.

Spread the cream cheese and honey mixture onto on half of the bread slices, but leave a small edge around the heart uncovered. Lay strawberry slices on the cream cheese mixture. Add the plain heart on top. Using a fork, press around the edge of each heart to create a sealed heart sandwich.

Whisk the eggs, milk, honey, cinnamon & vanilla extract together.

Then dredge the stuffed hearts in the egg mixture turning them so that all sides are fully coated.  Cook them on a coated griddle with either butter or a non-stick cooking spray like you would a traditional slice of French toast over medium heat.

Serving: These are delicious without topping, but you can add syrup or a yogurt glaze if desired.
