Try this frozen yogurt recipe! It’s what we call ‘Choco-Monkey’ flavored & it’s absolutely delicious.
My house was filled & in my opinion there is no room for ‘boredom’ in the midst of this beautiful weather, so we mixed up a treat to share that used a little creativity, energy, muscles & finally our taste buds. Yes, together we made one of my frozen yogurt recipes.
The Choco Monkey Freeze by Jodie Fitz
1/2 cup low fat vanilla yogurt
1/3 banana, peeled & sliced2 tablespoons peanut butter
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 – 3 cups ice
2 tablespoons salt
1 lunch size resealable bag
1 quart sized resealable freezer bag
Pour all of the ingredients into resealable lunch bag and gently mash the bananas, mixing all of the ingredients together thoroughly. Place the ice and salt into the quart sized bag. Place the lunch sized bag (sealed tight) inside of the quart sized bag. Seal & shake. The results of this recipe are dependent on vigorous shaking for a good 3 – 5 minutes. Note: It will freeze solid if you shake hard enough, otherwise you’ll get a soft-serve affect.
When you are done shaking, remove the lunch sized bag from the bag of ice & wipe it down before opening it so that the salt water doesn’t get into the mix. You can eat your treat right out of the bag; no dirty dishes required!
