chicken parmesan burgersLooking for some new flavors to grill this summer?  Chicken Parmesan Burgers are on our menu!  These are simple & delicious.  These burgers are great served the size of a typical burger or made into sliders for entertaining.  As always, I’m looking at ways to save time & you can make these patties ahead of time, freeze them & pull them out to thaw and cook up for a quick serve for busy schedules.  

Chicken Parmesan Burgers are certainly great on your favorite rolls or breads, but I do love the new ‘Foldit’ breads by FlatOut; the 5 grain is my favorite & it’s only 90 calories.  We also love their slider size ‘Foldit’ breads when we’re serving them mini size.

Chicken Parmesan Burgers by Jodie Fitz

1-pound ground chicken

¼ cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated

1 tablespoon Italian spice (I love the freeze dried combination by lighthouse spices)

1-teaspoon onion powder

¾ teaspoon sea salt

¾ teaspoon garlic powder

Fresh Mozzarella


Add the Parmesan cheese, Italian spice, onion powder, sea salt & garlic powder to the uncooked ground chicken.  Mix the spices into the ground chicken until they are evenly distributed with a spoon or spatula.

Create burger patties to your desired size. And grill outside or inside on a grill pan. Cook the burgers until they are thoroughly cooked. (165 degrees if testing with a meat thermometer)

Top the burgers with your favorite sauce and a slice of mozzarella. Melt the mozzarella on top before serving.

NOTE:  This recipe makes 4 burgers.
