Halloween Brownie Bites
Looking for a little kitchen fun that’s easy for Halloween? Look no further! Halloween brownie bites are the perfect solution to your recipe seeking dilemma.
This recipe is delicious and simple! It takes a regular brownie box mix and adds just the right ingredients to turn this into a treat that the kids will love. It’s perfect for Halloween parties, family fun or simply to just to mess it up and make memories together!
Here is the printable version of this recipe for your convenience;
- 1 milk chocolate brownie mix
- 1 instant chocolate pudding mix, smaller size
- 1 cup low-fat milk
- 2 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
- 4 oz. frozen whipped topping, thawed (half of a container)
- Oreo cookies, original
- Gummy worms
Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.
Mix the brownie mix as directed on the box.
Bake the brownies in a lined cupcake pan. When the brownies are done baking, but still warm, use an ice cream scoop to push in to the center of each brownie to form an indent. You are creating a small brownie bowl affect.
Let the brownies finish cooling completely.
Mix the instant pudding with 1 cup of milk so that it is a thicker consistency; the package will ask you to use two, but we are using one. Using an electric mixer, mix in the cream cheese. Fold in the whipped topping until the mixture is all one solid color.
Fill the center of each brownie bowl with the pudding mixture.
Crush the Oreo cookies in a mini chopper or food processor until the look like dirt. Add the crumbled cookies to the top of the filled brownie bowls & add a gummy worm or two on top before serving.
More thoughts on making this recipe;
Crushing the Cookies: You can put the Oreos into a snap and seal bag and crush them by hand too!
Cupcake Liners: Halloween imprinted decorative cupcake liners make this recipe even more festive.
Double the Liners: When I’m serving Halloween Brownie Bites for a party, I bake them in one liner. Once the brownies have been indented and cooled, I put them into another liner before putting them on the tray. The baked liners can look dull and I like to brighten them up when entertaining.
How many Brownies? Filling the cupcake liners 2/3 full with the batter will yield approximately 18 individual brownies bites.
Gummy worms: These can be found in the candy aisle at your local Price Chopper or Market 32 Supermarket Stores.
NOTE: Visit the seasonal aisle at your local Price Chopper or Market 32 Supermarket Stores to find Halloween cupcake wrappers for your festive baking plans.
