Classroom parties are rolling around and if you signed up for the fruit tray we have a Fruit Tree that’s perfect to serve….
Carli joined me to help decorate this holiday Fruit Tree and together we used green grapes, red grapes, blueberries & pineapple to build a beautiful centerpiece filled with fruity fun for everyone. It’s perfect for classroom parties or any gathering. We also whipped up a little pomegranate fruit dip to serve alongside; it’s the perfect combination.
Fruit Tree Supplies Needed:
9” Styrofoam cone
Star Fondant Cutter
Starting at the bottom, add the red grapes to the Styrofoam by inserting the toothpick into the grape, leaving a portion exposed and then inserting the exposed part into the tree base. Continue the process until you have created a trail around the cone to look like garland.
Starting at the bottom again, add the green grapes in the same fashion to fill the entire tree. Leave the very top uncovered.
Create a star out of a slice of pineapple by using a star-shaped fondant cutter. Add it to the top with a toothpick.
Skew blueberries on toothpicks and intermittently place them throughout the tree to add ornaments. The blueberry ornaments will rest on top of the green grapes, but will be held by the base.
Fondant Cutters: These can be located in the cake-decorating aisle at most local craft stores. They typically come in a package of three. Most likely you will use the large or medium size for this project.

Pomegranate Fruit Dip by Jodie Fitz
4 oz. light whipped topping
3 oz. low-fat vanilla yogurt
2 tablespoons 100% pomegranate juice (I love the POM Wonderful brand with no sugar added)
Fold the whipped topping and vanilla yogurt together. Fold in the pomegranate juice until all of the ingredients are thoroughly mixed together. Serve chilled.
Swap the Whipped Cream: Use the Dannon Greek vanilla non-fat yogurt as a whipped cream substitute.
