Cheers to the warm weather that is finally arriving in the northeast. Summer is certainly on it’s way & after the winter we have had it is surely welcomed! Sydney, my own, joined me to help blend up some afternoon sips with our favorite Freshly Squeezed Frozen Honey Lemonade recipe that is frequently served at our counters.
We LOVE blender fun at the Fitz house! In part, blending is always a quick way to spend a little time making a super easy recipe when we don’t have time to get into a more involved one. Even the quick and easy recipes allows us a little time to slow it down, connect either before or after school and provide the time to chat it up even if just for a few.
Check out our short little video below along with the recipe and then grab your crew for some quick blender summer making yum!
Homemade Frozen Lemonade by Jodie Fitz
4 cups of ice
2 lemons, fresh
2 teaspoons raspberry extract
1 teaspoon Price Chopper vanilla extract
½ cup Price Chopper honey
Cut the lemons in half to create four halves. Squeeze the lemon juice from the lemons. If you have a citrus squeezer simple squeeze it right into a blender pitcher. If you do the lemon squeezing by hand, simply squeeze the juice into a liquid measuring cup so that you can extract the seeds from the juice before pouring the juice into the blender.
Add the ice, water, extracts and honey together with the fresh lemon juice in a blender & blend. It’s delicious and fresh to serve for Mother’s Day or all summer long.
Optional: Add 5 – 7 fresh frozen blueberries into the frozen lemonade & the lemonade will turn a beautiful color, which is fun any time
