Mint Chocolate Tie Dye Smoothie
Mint and Chocolate go together like Shama Lama Ding Dong! They are a match made in palate heaven.
And, since I’m in a tie dye smoothie kick this year I thought…why not bring this all together in one fabulous sip? So, that’s exactly what I did. I created a Mint Chocolate Tie Dye Smoothie Recipe that’s fabulous and fun. I even squeezed in a natural food color by using a little bit of spinach for the green. Trust me, you cannot taste it.

You simply make the purees, drizzle them down the glass and add my base banana smoothie and voila, it’s a whole lot festive flavor all packed into one.
Here is the recipe to drizzle, blend and serve…
- 3 cups of ice
- 1 ½ cups milk, low fat
- 6 oz. vanilla yogurt, low fat
- 1 banana
- 3 tablespoons + 1/4 cup honey
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup fresh baby leaf spinach
- 1 - 2 drops mint extract
Stir the cocoa powder together with 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract and 2 tablespoons of honey in a small bowl. Set the mixture aside.
Place the spinach along with 1/4 cup of honey and the mint extract into a mini chopper and pulse until it looks like a green puree.
Put the ice, 1 1/2 cups of milk, banana, yogurt, 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract into a blender and blend.
Slowly pour some of the two purees, alternating colors around your glass; it will drizzle down. Add the banana smoothie & serve.
