Need Halloween lunch ideas?

Looking for ideas to keep the lunchbox interesting and fun for Halloween (or all year long)? Check this out! This lunchbox is packed with Cyclops Grape sticks, Bagel Monsters & Fake Dirt with worms. YUM, YUM….

It’s Halloween food fun with a healthier twist to every bite!

Here are the ‘how-to’s’ and recipes for these Halloween lunch ideas that will make Monster Lunch Box Packing fun;

Cyclops Grape Sticks

Green Grapes
Candy Eyes
Food Glue (cream cheese or peanut butter or WOWbutter, which is a GREAT peanut free, peanut butter alternative)
Mini wooden skewers

Simply skew three grapes per skewer. Add a candy eye to the top grape and hold it in place with your choice of ‘food glue’; cream cheese, peanut butter or caramel apple dip.

Want to avoid the skewers? If you want to avoid using the pointed tips of the skewers in the lunchbox, try using thin pretzel sticks or the candy pop sticks which have flat ends.

Fake Dirt and Worms

6 oz. vanilla yogurt
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon cocoa powder
1-2 Oreo cookies or 1 chocolate graham cracker
Candy worm (optional)

Stir the vanilla yogurt, honey and cocoa powder together. Add to your mini lunch box travel container or bento box.

Crush the cookies or graham cracker in a snap and seal lunch bag or mini food processor. Add to the top of the yogurt mixture.

Optional: Add a candy worm to the top.

Monster Sandwich Fun

Mini whole-wheat bagel
Romaine lettuce
2 tablespoons cream cheese
1 tablespoon yogurt based ranch dressing
1 tablespoon finely shredded carrots
3 – 4 cucumber slices
2 candy eyes
slivered almonds

Stir the cream cheese, ranch dressing and shredded carrots together.  Divide and spread the cream cheese mixture on either side of the mini bagel.  Add the slices of cumber and romaine lettuce to one side and add the other bagel on top to create a sandwich.  Use just a little cream cheese to attach the eyes.  Poke the slivered almonds into the top and bottom of the bagel opening to create monster teeth.
