Check out this Cheese Ball recipe that’s been re-purposed into a Snowman :)! This recipe is great for birthday parties, classroom parties and/or any upcoming gathering. It’s easy to make, tasty, kid-friendly and festive. What’s not to love about an edible snowman?
Snowy the Cheese Ball by Jodie Fitz
8 oz. Price Chopper cream cheese
1 teaspoon dry ranch dressing*
4 oz. Cabot Monterey Jack
1/8 cup red bell peppers
1/8 cup green bell peppers
Price Chopper pretzel sticks
Panko bread crumbs**
Black Frosting Gel
1 baby carrot
Let the cream cheese set to room temperature. Using an electric mixer, add in the ranch dressing and Cabot Monterey Jack Cheese. Mix until the ingredients are evenly distributed.
Stir in the green and red peppers. Divide the mixture in two. Mold the cream cheese into two separate cheese balls. Roll the cheese balls in Panko breadcrumbs and set in the refrigerator to firm; at least two hours.
Assembly: Place the balls on top of each other in the center of a serving dish. Cut a sliver of carrot to add as a nose. Add the pretzel sticks as arms. Use the black frosting gel to create eyes, a mouth and three buttons on your snowman. Serve with cut vegetables and/or whole-wheat crackers.
Dry Ranch Dressing: This can be found in the aisle at Price Chopper Stores where you find salad dressing. It can be purchased in individual packets.
Panko Bread Crumbs: you can purchase the breadcrumbs at Price Chopper stores either in the aisle where you purchase Italian breadcrumbs or check for Price Chopper packages that are smaller and less expensive in the seafood department.

Found this via the Happy Hour link party – how creative. My littlest boy would love this, he is currently obsessed with snowmen (I have to turn his desert into a snowman whenever we have icecream!)
I LOVE the SNOWMAN stage. My youngest’s birthday is in January & we did an entire snowman theme one year – it was a HUGE hit. I’ll be putting sneak peeks up throughout the month. Have a GREAT weekend & thanks for stopping by….

I love this idea of shaping the cheese ball into a snow man! I wish I had seen this a month ago. I took a cheese ball to several Christmas parties I attended. This would have been so much nicer than the traditional cheese “ball”.
I’m stopping by from the Naptime Review FB page blog hop!
