Mmmm….grill season is one of my favorite seasons.  It’s such a short season in the northeast and grilling adds such a unique flavor to everything you cook.  Burgers are everyone’s all time summer grill ‘go to’ for parties, gatherings, picnics and weekly dinners.  Sometimes we just grill plain burger patties seasoned with salt and pepper, but more often than not, we make onion burgers.

They aren’t overpowering, but seasoned with just the right amount of flavor that makes it mouthwatering and scrumptious!

These burgers are great for every night dinners and summer entertaining. They are a must add to the summer grill menu!

More thoughts on making these Onion Burgers

Top them Off:  Onion burgers are tasty with all of your favorites; tomato, lettuce, red onion, Vidalia onions, pickles, ketchup, mayo or mustard.  They are extra delicious with American cheese or white cheddar. So have fun and experiment with your favorite toppings.

Put them in Between: These burgers are great served in a traditional bun, my husband loves a sesame topped kaiser roll.  I often go with the ‘no roll’ or lettuce wrap option personally.  However, if I do go for the bread, my pick is a multigrain sandwich round or FlatOut Fold-it.

Side Dish Love: These burgers can be filling depending on the size of your patties.  So, I love veggies in the form of a fresh salad or corn on the cob.  I also love a fruit salad, but any traditional summer salads are equally delish like macaroni, pasta, potato.
